Upon Sang A’s arrival in New York City, she found herself drawn to a different world: fashion. She decided to pursue these interests and began honing her skills at The Parsons School of Design. Through her education there and internship experience accrued with high-profile stylists such as Victoria Bartlett and Lisa Von Weise, Sang A decided to start her own business, beginning with accessories.

During her travels to Europe, Sang A discovered the workshops where French and Italian artisans have crafted luxury accessories for generations. This fueled her passion for exotic skins and beautiful textures, which shaped the SANG A brand as we know today. Now, as a budding talent, she finds inspiration through everyday observations ranging from her travels to people watching in the streets of SoHo. Derived from her passion for dance, she also finds inspiration in musical theater from the early 1900s, classical films, and iconic actresses such as Sophia Loren.

The SANG A collection has seen significant growth and success since its launch in 2006 and continues to develop in innovative and exciting ways. The collection is available exclusively at specialty retailers worldwide including Neiman Marcus, Kirna Zabete NYC, Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, as well as select boutiques in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Her global presence continues to grow, especially through her involvement in various international and New York City-based charity organizations. In June of 2010, Sang A became a member of The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). She currently resides in New York City with her husband, James Propp, and their daughter, Olivia.
